“Easier said than done”

3 years ago they said, ‘Brexit is happening’,

it will finally take place next year,

the job which felt impossible,

is finally going to get clear.

31 January 2020 is when,

everyone will have their eyes upon Britain,

it’s the time which everyone is waiting for,

when history will be rewritten.

Theresa May, Boris Johnson and other MPs,

all have contributed to this act,

they tried their best to meet the public’s expectations,

fought hard to make an impact.

Britain is escaping now,

from this prodigious cloud of the European Union,

now they have to think through,

to strengthen their trade relation and dominion.

Britain plans to control immigration,

a growing concern of citizens in the country,

they plan to trade with more freedom,

without the EU, they want to make a big industry.

As we all know, Brexit is very debatable,

and this has gone against all odds,

the challenge for Britain is,

to boost their economy & create more jobs.

With Brexit, some may gain,

some may lose,

time will tell what shall happen next,

and if this was the right decision to choose…

Hi! I am a 13-year-old currently studying in the Netherlands. For 5 years, I was studying in London and moved to India for some time in July 2019. First of all, I love playing the western flute and have been playing for quite a few years now. Playing and also, listening to music is definitely my passion. Some sports I enjoy playing are badminton, netball, swimming, football, cricket (these are the top 5!). Ok, so let’s talk about poetry. I wrote my first poem in a primary school in England and this inspired me to start writing poems on WordPress. Some of my recent poems are about global issues such as climate change, depression, bullying etc. Writing poetry is another passion of mine…so, check out my poems on WordPress. I don’t know what else I could say here so, hope you love my poems…..happy reading!!
