Let’s time-travel

It's 2020
and the world is struggling
coronavirus, natural disasters
all so troubling.

Let's go back in time
to find known faces
don't worry, we'll be back soon
and by then, things would be back in place.

It's the Mesozoic Era
we're with the dinosaurs
it won't be safe to stay
though my heart ignores.

No sign of humans
no sign of pollution
unique creatures all around
what a wonderful location.

Let's skip ahead to 1889
the mud iron structure in France
the world will adore it
The Eiffel Tower, for everyone to glance.

Finally, 1969
the first man on the moon!
The nation celebrates with laughter
dancing to its tune.

Time to go back,
I hope everything is in order
I hope all is well
across all borders.

We've reached and it's 2020
but what is this,
I think we were gone for a long time
but there is still no sign of bliss.

Hi! I am a 13-year-old currently studying in the Netherlands. For 5 years, I was studying in London and moved to India for some time in July 2019. First of all, I love playing the western flute and have been playing for quite a few years now. Playing and also, listening to music is definitely my passion. Some sports I enjoy playing are badminton, netball, swimming, football, cricket (these are the top 5!). Ok, so let’s talk about poetry. I wrote my first poem in a primary school in England and this inspired me to start writing poems on WordPress. Some of my recent poems are about global issues such as climate change, depression, bullying etc. Writing poetry is another passion of mine…so, check out my poems on WordPress. I don’t know what else I could say here so, hope you love my poems…..happy reading!!
