10 Big Events Coloradans Can Look Forward To In 2021 (With Fingers Crossed) – CBS Denver

As we take forward our memories

from 2020

we leave behind a whole year

of mixed emotions, at least for me.

Climate change, political crisis,

we learnt so much with so many surprises

even COVID-19 taught us things

we wouldn’t have learnt otherwise.

After having days of happiness

and days of despair

we can finally welcome 2021 with open arms

and we can finally breathe some fresh air.

After having days of loneliness

and days of enjoyment with our families

we can smile

and hope for less calamities.

After 366 long days

where we had online learning for most of it

we can only hope for 2021 to serve us better

we can only hope 2021 does not let us quit.

Even though they may be a lot of ‘what ifs’

we have no choice but to march forward with joy or fear

to everyone, everywhere,

I hope you have a very happy new year.

Hi! I am a 13-year-old currently studying in the Netherlands. For 5 years, I was studying in London and moved to India for some time in July 2019. First of all, I love playing the western flute and have been playing for quite a few years now. Playing and also, listening to music is definitely my passion. Some sports I enjoy playing are badminton, netball, swimming, football, cricket (these are the top 5!). Ok, so let’s talk about poetry. I wrote my first poem in a primary school in England and this inspired me to start writing poems on WordPress. Some of my recent poems are about global issues such as climate change, depression, bullying etc. Writing poetry is another passion of mine…so, check out my poems on WordPress. I don’t know what else I could say here so, hope you love my poems…..happy reading!!
